My cars clutch is no initiating. Won't shift into gear unless forced which will ruin my tranny. Changed the slave cylinder. But wondering if my master cylinder could be the problem

have an assistant push clutch in to see if slave is working and pushing clutch in if it is it may be a clutch problem
