2001 Hyundai Elantra Replaced Fuel Pump On Car Ran Miles Started Spitting

If I replaced the fuel pump on my car and it ran for a few miles then started spitting and sputtering and finally quits running, what could the problem be now? It tries to crank but wont catch up and I hear what sounds like air blowing under the hood.

Check to see if the engine is getting spark and fuel.
