WHEN I START MY CAR THE ENGINE RUNS ON FAST IDLE AND THAN SLOW ,MAINLY WHEN CAR IS COLD BUT HAS DONE IT WHEN HOT .

Hot or cold the engine would increase in rpm when it is started. Only difference is the when engine is hot, it would come down fast whereas on a cold engine, it would take a while.
