2001 Honda Prelude Engine km's

im looking to buy a used car, the owner said that he got a engine swap and the engine has 75000km on it, the car itself has 240000km on it, is there a way i can actually tell how many km's are on the engine.

Honestly, there is really no way to be sure. Please keep in mind, even if the engine has been replaced, other things go bad such as bearings, brake lines, transmissions, electrical components and the list goes on. With that many miles on it, you may experience other problems.
