my 2001 passport is stuck in 1st

i just replaced the transmission and the flex plate. drove it a hour the check tranni light started flashing the mechanic put tranni fluid in it then it was stuck in first he said it was stuck in 4 lo wont shift out of first

Did you put a rebuilt or used transmission in?Also what codes do you have in the computer?ALso dont you have some kind of warranty on the transmission?
