wife is 4 hrs away, she drove and lights on dash lit up, she said bad smell, now steps on accelerator but cars doesn't move. transmission has fluid but smells and transmission is only 3 to 4 yrs old

what lights???

if the fluid level is good, then you have an internal failure.
