My car wont take off in 1st gear what could it be?

We just had the transmission rebuilt and then the shift solenoid because it was what caused the trans to burn up and lock up. Now the car shifts great but it wants to take off in 2nd or 3rd gear when in drive. Shifts fine if I do it manualy but it is also causing the D light to flash now. What could be the problem now?

You need to have the person that did the work recheck his work. It is either an electrical component (which should set the check engine light) or the problem is in the valve body.
