Need to replace antenna cable from base of antenna to back of radio

The mast will unscrew from the base, then you need a special socket to unscrew the nut on top of the base. If you're careful you can often get that nut loose with a needle nose pliers. Use a rag to prevent scratching the nut. The cable will be attached to the base and usually can not be removed from it. Remove the radio to unplug the antenna. It can be real helpful to tie a long piece of wire to it, then pull it out from under the dash and by the door. When you pull the cable out by the fender, that wire will come along with it. Tie that wire to the new cable, then you can use it to pull the new cable in the same way it went out.
