.i have a gmc sierra 2001 and i was installing a touch screen deck into my truck and a wire touched another and sparked. well after i hooked everything up and turned the car on my display for my mileage and gas meter doesn't turn on. I checked all the fuses all i can think of is the wire that sparked, might have fry'd it. If you could give me any advice or have heard of anything thing like this i would love the help, before i start trying to find the problem my self. thank you

I have to be honest. Without knowing what wire it was, it is hard to say. Chances are, like you said, you fried something in the inst cluster. The clusters on these vehicles have a history of going bad. You may have sped things up a bit.
