Hello, I put the vehicle in reverse, it sounded like it slammed pretty hard, and it would not move when given gas, but still rolled. I put the vehicle in drive and it wouldn't go either, but it continued to roll. Then I put it in park, and it would not come out of park, but still rolls. The vehicle starts fine, and I have never had the transmission show any signs of trouble.

Thank You

Crank vehicle and let run till it reaches operating temperatures. Pull transmission dipstick and check fluid. Dark/burnt means possible tranny failure. Bubbles means bad tranny pan filter. Clear red is ok. Make sure it is at proper level on stick while running also.

I was thinking it may be the linkage from the shifter to the steering column, maybe it broke when in nuetral, and that's why it rolls, but is now stuck in park.

Should be able to see linkage at drivers side of transmission from under vehicle. Check to see if it popped off.
