I was driving my Jimmy and the dummy lights and guage needles were going haywire. I stopped at a grocery store and when I went to start the Jimmy again, nothing. No dash lights nothing. I couldn't get the key out. My fiance moved some wires and everything came on again and I drove home. It kept wanting to die when I stopped. Now 2 days later no problems. Was this just a fluke? or something more serious?

Do you have a check engine light?

Have the battery and alternator checked-start here could also be an ignition switch problem
