I recently changed my temp sending unit on my 01 windstar 3.8L because the fans were not kicking on. After replacing the sensor my temp gauge will spike all the way to top upon a cold start and then drop down and stay there even after car is warmed up. plus now the fans come on and wont shut off during driving !!
I'm baffled , possible thermostat?? The van did get pretty hot. when i discovered the faulty fans. When I pulled the old sensor out it was basically disinigrated and fell apart at the core.
Thanks in advance !!
