would would cause my car to idol rough at a stop light?

The car runs good when driving but when I come to a stop it idols OK for a little bit then it starts to stall. I used to be able to put the car in park at a stop and it would idol fine but that's not working anymore. Now it just wants to die at a stop. Any ideas??
