I am trying to replace the rear struts on a 2001 Ford Taurus and I can't remove the bolt from the lower control arm where the bottom of the strut mounts. I ended up twisting off the head of the bolt and I have not been able to drill the bolt to use an extractor. My question is what is the name of the part that I have broken the bolt on. I have been calling it the lower control arm and have been trying to locate a replacement part but I am not sure if I am asking for the right part. The bottom of the strut mounts into it and the bolt pinches it closed. The spindle also mounts to it. Could you verify the name of the part and suggest a place to purchase one?
