Hi folks. Need help with overheating problem. Today i drove 1 hour on highway and noticed car temp gauge reach 90% high temp. I pulled over and popped hood. Did not see or smell antifreeze over flow & heard no gurggling on bubbling in resevoir. I carefully loosened resevoir cap- pressure relieved and fluid began bubbling. I loosened little at time until bubbling ceased. Temp gauge went back to norm. I then drove 30 minutes to final destination. No problems. (Dont know if this is relavent but before i began my long trip i topped off antifreeze, also 20 minutes before temp gauge went high, i had turned on ac) (note while hood was up, i did run ac to make sure both radiator fans turned on-both worked when i turned on ac & stopped when i turned off ac) can anyone help me with this?

You mentioned that you added coolant. Is the vehicle using coolant? If not, the first thing I would suggest would be to simply either check or replace the thermostat. It may be sticking.
