2001 Ford Taurus Just Replaced Air Conditioner Compressor F Leave Hose

I just replaced the air conditioner compressor. I
f I leave the hose connections plugged off will the compressor be damaged if I drive it to the shop to have it flushed/evacuated and charged?

Not as long as you leave it unplugged.
