best way to remove water from a gas tank?

enter your question...i have a bad tank of gas,what is the best way to remove water from a gas tank?will dry gas help or is that for only cold weather?should i use higher octane?thanks.

Hello,

It will depend on the amount of water you have in the tank.
If it is a little amount you can use fuel additive like Heet and other 'water remover' that you will find at your local auto parts store.

However if you have excessive amount of water, the best option is the drain the fuel tank. If you have too much water in the tank the fuel additive will not help.
