2001 Ford Taurus Car Sitting Service Station Moving Got Back Would Move

car was sitting at service station not moving when got back in car would not move ! i removed trans. back far enough to remove torque converter , all splines look good ! the smallest shaft turned a little rough then i just pulled it out with my hand !
is this the problem with the trans. ?

the failure is internal not the shaft or splines. it is eith the converter or front pump failure
