2001 ford ranger will not idle in drive after it has been running for a while - but idles ok in neutral or park. i have cleaned the injectors, replaced the egr valve, and replaced the ecm - but the problem still exists

Check for vacuum leaks. Also, check to make sure the idle air control valve (IAC) is working properly. It is mounted on the throttle body and is responsible for engine idle.
