2001 Ford Mustang Leak

The car has a leak coming from the oil pan plug, while under the car I found what looks like a smaller pan directly behind the oil pan and below the front floorboards. Not sure if the plastic cap there is original. The cap is about 1'' to 1 1/2" diameter. It looked like bluish or greenish oil was dripping from it.

It sounds like you're talking about the front of the transmission. What you're seeing is likely just an inspection plug that doesn't seal anything. If you are seeing a green fluid in that area, it is likely coolant leaking from somewhere above. You need to pressure test the cooling system for leaks.
