2001 ford mondeo wont accelerate when engine is warm but its sound when its cold, what could the problem be?

car will start but wont rev when the engine is warm but it will rev when the engine is cold. what could be the problem

If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to identify trouble codes. Also, check the throttle position sensor.

thanks, cannot no what the problem could be.we have had a new alternator put in and a new diesel line fitted but no joy. hopefully ur answer can help. thanks
