Ive now put 3 litres of oil into my car but the dipstick is still bone dry. can somebody please help?
i was just doing a regular check on the engine for water and oil. dipstick was dry. put 2 ltrs oil in. checked dipstick and still bone dry. put a further 1lt in and still the same. i placed cardboard under the bonnet and defo no leak. its a ford focus 01 1.6. i do a round trip of approx 80 miles per day so im worried it is major. oil is defo going in the right place :(

Top up the oil to the correct full mark, not the miles, drive for a few days normal driving and re check the oil, if low top but i will need to know exactly how much is added give me that and the distance covered.
