2001 Ford Falcon Engine Warning Light Comes On Only Accellerating One Backs Off

Engine warning light comes on only when accellerating, and when one backs off the warning light goes out. I have replaced the throttle position sensor and had the computer reset afterwards, but still does the same thing.

scan for codes and check fuel pressure first

Which engine fitted? may be a stretched timing chain if V8 what codes are set?
