As I was driving all the icons on the dash started to flicker while the battery light stayed solid. I lost all readings for my speed, fuel, revs over 45km/h. The battery is reading over 16V on the dash and the car seems to now be sluggish off the mark, does anyone have any ideas?

sounds like something electrical bought the farm so to speak .. have you had the system tested to see what voltage your Alt and battery are puting out ... if its truely outputting 16 volts the regulator in the alt is toast and should be replaced immedately before you cause perminant damage to the PCM and other electrical components
