2001 Ford F-150 overheating

After all these years my truck wants to overheat only when ac is on. Is it the thermostat?

When it overheats, shut engine off and disconnect fans if you have them then feel radiator for cold spots if you feel them the rad is bad. If not have it pressure tested for internal leaks.
