So it feels like the shift linkage isnt attached to the transmission anymore?

it seems to be in the lever but i could be wrong it got worse quickly

If it feels like your shift lever isnt moving the transmission linkage then the first thing i would do is get under the vechile with the parking brake on and wheels blocked.To see if the linkage is doing its job and the transmission and that it didnt come off the transmission
