2001 ford Escort ZX2, installed a new battery, blew the fusible link everything was working fine, but the battery indicator light was on. The car ran fine for 2 days and died, we had to jump start it and leave the booster box on it to get it home. We are stumped on what the problem can be! Any ideas?

The battery light is on because the charging system is not working at this time and you are going to have to determine why. Check for power at the main terminal of the alternator with the key OFF. If you have no power, check the fusible links and maxi fuses.

We have power and all fuses seem to be okay. Can it be the Alternator?

Yes, it can but the power supplies to it have to be checked thoroughly before condemning it.
