I have a 2001 ford escort doch, the radiator fan motor will not come on when the motor gets hot. It will come on when I turn on the heater fan or when I turn on the ac fan. It will also come on when I disconnect the wire connection from the temperture sencor. I do not know where exactly where to find the relay for the fan motor.

If the fan come's on when you unplug the coolant temp sensor the relay and the fan is good. Sounds like a bad coolant temp sensor if it doesn't come on when the engine gets to the correct temp.

You said the fan come's on when you unplug the coolant temp sensor so if the relay was bad the fan wouldn't come on right?

When you unplugged the coolant sensor and the the fans came on, you proved right then that the entire circuit is working and the computer has control over the fan. I think you are just expecting it to come on too soon. The are designed to come on sometime after 225 degrees on most cars.
