Wondering what could be the reason I get a buzzing/humming sound when turning the steering wheel? I'm guessing maybe low fluid.

Fill the steering pump to level and than bleed it

not being a true do-it-yourselfer on cars; when you say fill and then bleed it - is that to clear some "air pockets" that may be there from the level dropping below normal? I ask only because your answer tells me 'what to do' and I'm just checking as to the description or name of what may be going wrong. Thanks

Yes could be air in it by being low-try bleeding it and see what happens or problem with the rack and pinion
