2001 ford ranger with 4.0 V6 stumbles or misfires on acceleration[ intermitantly. Have 62k on the clock.

It stumbles or surges intermitanly on acceleration. Have a rotten egg smell from exaust. Is the cat cooked? also what could've cooked it at this low miles . It is leaking oil from passenger side valve cover. It drips onto the pre cat and burns off. never anything on the ground.No CEL.
