rear drivers side brakeline

when replaceing rear brake line on the driverside do you have to drop the gas tank,or can you just replace the line the way it sets.and can you just splice into it and replace what is bad only.

You can replace it by routing around the tank, but try to keep it on the frame., I would replace the entire line.
