i think my altenator is bad like the regaltor or brushes

Check that the alternator output at the main terminal on the alternator is ok, depending on battery condition and charge you want about 13.5 Volts, check this first.

2001 with 15000 miles and alternator brushes are bad? dont seem likely. also not much mileage for year?
