Air conditioner works fine when traveling down the road but as soon as I apply the brakes the temp switches from cold to hot. What could this be?

As soon as I turn a/c off and begin to pull off the air is cold again. It only does this when I have to brake. I can travel down the Hwy for a long period of time and it never effects the temp.

There may be some kind of electrical sensor problem that is affecting the compressor cycle.
Have the trouble codes pulled. Any Advance Auto or Auto Zone will do this for free.
If no codes come up, you should have the compressor refigerant pressure checked. Even as little as a .25 Lb off and an A/C can turn into a heater. It can also cause problems with the compressor cycling properly.
