grinding noise

my 2001 dodge durango started making a grinding noise after my anti lock breaks kicked in this morning when i stopped on an ice patch. i can hear the grinding noise faintly while the car is running and now when i turn the wheel it continues to make the grinding noise. this just happened this morning.....please help!

Do you mean when turning the steering wheel when the vehicle is standing still? If so, that would a power steering issue. Start by checking the fluid level.

thank you so much...i did check the fluid cause thats what i originally though and i put fluid in and it was fine then it did it again later in the day i checked the fluid again and it was empty...im guessing theres a whole or crack in the line somewhere....( at least i hope thats all it is)

Yup, most common would be a rubber hose where it is crimped to a metal pipe. Next most likely would be the pump itself. It shouldn't be too hard to find when it leaks out that fast.
