Did you disconnect the battery? If so, the Engine Computer has to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it must be in control of idle speed. To do that, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the brake or gas pedals.
If you used a cork gasket on the transmission pan, it is likely over-tightened and crushed. It's more common to use just gasket sealer and no other gasket material, but the surfaces have to be 100 percent cleaned of any oil residue. If it isn't, the sealer won't bond and seal. The Chrysler dealer's parts department has a tube of gray sealer that WILL seal if there is a little residue, but you still want to make every effort to have both surfaces completely clean.
