i have play in the steering Wheele it look to be coming from the youk? not shure if thats right

i have some play in the steering wheel my brother looked at it and said it appears to be coming from the yuk? not shure if that is what it is called but if you look under the hood you can see the coloum from the stearing whelle it goes down to the yuk or nuckel and you can turn that piece with your hand can you replace this part and is it hard to replace my brother is pretty good with cars and is it dangerous i have 2 small boys that ride in it with me

yes there is a yoke.
i suggest going to a dealership aprts desk and tell them the steering shaft. they will have a picture and you can point to it.

it is not that hard as long as it is the lower shaft. the upper require dis assembly of the steering column.
