2001 Dodge Dakota Overdrive shifting up too much

When driving on highway the overdrive kept shifting up to a higher gear all by itself...the RPM's would go up and down, and I was wondering if maybe I bought some bad gas, because it ran fine all day up until then. Could a bad CV shaft cause this problem by the truck having to push too much?

scan for codes soundslike it may be a clutch pak or seal problem in trans though
