My Dakota would not start, but my mechanic got it running. My mechanic says it needs Head Gasket repair. He also said that while they were repairing the head gasket, I should have them put in a new motor. I have been reading about head gasket sealants. Is this vehicle worth the head gasket repair costs and motor replacement?

the fact of worth is up to you. can you afford a new vehicle??

the head gaskets run around 1500-1800 depending on needed parts. make sure they power flush the radiator which is a common reason for the head gasket failure.
