There is clearly some serious knowledge here.
I have an 01 caravan. The battery is tapping out to nothing within a half day. Checked with an ammeter; instrument panel is drawing 1.3A. Disconnected the fuse, van starts like a champ. Anything I can do short of replacing panel? I have access to some electronic techs at work. One more, please: if I have to replace the IP, will I lose the true mileage reading?

Thanks ever so much -

1.3 is your draw. most likely the cluster. when you order your new one, tell them the mileage and they will progam it for you

Thanks for the input. This vehicle probably won't make it another year, so ill likely end up going to a salvage yard for a new IP. Have to take my chances on getting one with similar mileage.
