I have a Dodge Caravan 2001. It has off and on starting problems. The mechanic claimed it to be the battery in December and it was replaced. There are times when it has been sitting for a while ( few hours) and when I get in it and turn the key it either clicks and does nothing or turns real slow like the battery is dead. It can go days or even a week or so before it does it again. It did this yesterday afternoon after work but it has not done so since.

I would have the charging system checked to be sure your alternator is working and a starter draw test to rule out poss. Starter, If these check out you may have a battery draw/short draining batt. Your mechanic can use a meter and do a draw test.
