The gas gage is not working can I change it or do I have to go to a mech for that . If not were is the sencer for it

There is no such thing as a mechanical fuel gauge. You first need to have the circuit diagnosed to find out what the actual problem is. The most common failure is the sending unit inside the fuel tank. You need an expensive scan tool to test the dash cluster.
