01 Dodge Caravan Fuel gauge reading wrong

I have a 2001 Dodge Caravan. Recently the gas gauge started reading wrong. It would run out of gas when the gauge read it still had 1/4 of a tank. Then proceeded to run out of gas at right around reading 1/2 tank. When I fill it up it will only move up maybe 1/4 of a tank even though I filled it completely up. What is the problem? Thank You.

if its a non flex fuel vehicle chances are that its a bad fuel sending guage. if your handy and can drop the tank to get to the sending unit connector up top i can tell you how to check the system to find whats wrong. if its flex fuel its probably a issue with the flex fuel module.
