My car has the coil pack ignition (no distributor).
I got an error code P0337 crankshaft position sensor "A" Circuit low.
I got a new crankshaft sensor, but cannot find the old one to replace it. :)
Please explain where to find that sensor as I was looking everywhere for hours.
Thank you.

Thank you.
After hours of searching, I found the connector where the sensor should been plugged in. Went to a shopping center car-park. I found the same car waited the owner of the car, asked her to let me see her cars engine bay. Found the connector with a plug, followed the wire and found it. On the gearbox clear and very easy to see. :O But not on my car. The previous owner swapped gearbox with early Matiz box where there is no crankshaft sensor on the gearbox.
Now I need to get a new type box with the sensor.

Can engine start without crank sensor being fixed? My car Daewoo Matiz 3, has the check engine light on and the engine is not idle the goes high and low at anytime, and brings in fuel scent inside the car so my question is (1) Can the car start without crank sensor? (2) what is making the car misbehave that way?

The car may start without the crankshaft sensor using the camshaft sensor for reference. If you smell fuel the first thing to do is use a flash light and open the hood to look at the fuel injectors which is a popular please fuel will leak out of.

Here is a guide to help you see what I am taking about:

Please run this test and get back to us.

Cheers, Ken
