I'm trying to start my van and car will crank, but wont start. I've changed spark plugs, iacv, fuel filter and the oil. When I do try to start, it will mostly just crank and then stop and gas shoots out of the spark plug area.
I get a check engine light, but no codes when I try to turn the key three times. Just before this, the car would crank and rough start, with a very rough idle and back fire. After I changed the oil, spark plugs and added SeaFoam, now it just wont turn over and the gas shoots out.
Not sure what and where I should look next, Fuel pump regulator, fuel pump crankshaft position sensor?

Any help would be great, Thanks!

If gas is shooting out of the spark plug hole, it could be the fuel injectors stuck in open position. If the fuel shootin out is a fine mist, that should be ok. did you check for ignition sparks?

The MIL indicating with no trouble codes could mean a faulty PCM.

By checking the ignition sparks, do you mean checking the spark from the spark plugs? I just changed the spark plugs, but I could do that next.
What is odd also though is I just went out and bought a code scanner because I have a check engine light, but the scanner says no codes. It has to be something because the light is on..and it now runs..but it sputters and is a very rough idle as if it is about to cut off and there is light grey or bluish smoke as well. is there a way I can check to see if it is the PCM that is bad without replacing it.. wouldnt that give me a code too?

A faulty PCM might not have any codes. The code reader you have might not be compatible with your vehicle and if that it the case, it would most probably not communicate. If it can communicate and not showing any codes with MIL indicating, it is either the PCM or a ground circuit for the PCM that is bad.

You can't test a PCM, except maybe the dealer.

My question is "Gas shooting out of the spark plug area"? This tells me the plugs aren't installed or not installed properly.
