hard starting

had problems with starts, replaced with new batter, electrical systems check per repair facility said all is okay.

with new battery, still having problems with starts, may need 5 attempts to finally get to start or kick over.

During attempts, get a "P" code in the odometer window (with no numbers, just dashes), then a "done" appears, no start when tried immediately after.

You didn't say what the symptom is but it sounds like you turn the ignition switch and the starter doesn't crank the engine. If that is correct, and you hear a single rather loud clunk from the starter each time you turn the switch, that is typical of worn contacts in the starter solenoid. The parts to fix that cost around 12 bucks for the kit at many hardware stores and farm and home stores, but most people just replace the entire starter. If you ignore the problem, it will get progressively worse over the next few months.

The reason you're getting the "P" is Chrysler makes retrieving diagnostic fault codes much easier than any other manufacturer. That is done by cycling the ignition switch three times within five seconds.
