Hi,
My 2001 Chrysler Sebring lx is having problems. Today I stopped at a stop street, and when I took my foot off the narrator and pushed the gas pedaql, my car did nothing but roll backwards. I stepped on the brakes, and tried again, it rolled backwards again, then kicked and went forwards. Also when I drive down the highway, at certain times, it sounds like it is straining and goes into high RPMs and will not kick down unless I apply the brakes and then the gas. What is the problem?

sounds like a trans issue. check the fluid level. beyond that, you will need a shop to verify the issue and track down the failure
