There is a clunking/clanking sound... sounds like at rear of car. Possibly related to tires/axle... it's hard to distinguish exactly where.
At first we thought it was something in the trunk rattling around. But, to be clear, it is NOT a rattling sound.

It doesn't happen at a certain speed, it doesn't matter if car is cold or hot... it kind of comes and goes on its own.
It just seems to happen more often if we are driving on an uneven road, or sometimes when turning the wheel, etc.

The car is really well cared for, regular oil changes and seasonal checks, etc.

Any idea what this is, or what it could cost to fix?
