Radiator fan not working. Problem traced to computer. Does the entire computer have to be replaced or is there a single chip? 2001 pt cruiser

The problem is simple enough. The computer is not sending a signal to the radiator fan. Everything has been checked and is working. I tried sending a signal from another computer to the car's computer but it doesn't read it. Before I replace the computer I'm wondering if there is a chip for the fix.

Thanks

Thanks for your quick reply. It's off to the donation department which is really too bad. It's a pretty nice car with 96K - but the fix is out of my budget.
