I have a 2001 chevy 2500HD diesel LB7 the speedometer works, but no odometer or no gear range selector, seems to be stuck in 3rd gear.
I have already replaced the NSBU switch, with no change.

dash cluster for the odometer.

stuck in 3rd??? you need to have the trans system checked for any codes and get back to us.

One code it showed was a po700 if that helps.

I believe the p0700 was a TCM malfunction.
I can't remember exactly but I believe the TCM showed a p1711 or p0711 of either of these make sense.

thats a general trans failure. get a trans shop to check it. it could be wiring, solenoids or internal failure
