I changed the negative battery terminal, and now it seems to fall on it's face if you push the accelerator a little bit. But if you push it farther, it takes right off. Any ideas?

If it was running fine before the battery service, the Engine Computer lost its memory and will have to relearn short and long-term fuel trims. That will start to occur as soon as you drive it. If that does not occur, check for stored diagnostic fault codes. Some can prevent the computer from doing the relearn, particularly codes related to the front oxygen sensors.
